Objectives

Physical Activity

Increase moderate consistent physical activity among adults in Georgia; promote fitness and the healthful and active use of leisure time.

 

Nutrition

Choosing to eat for your health will help you feel better and look better. It may also help prevent weight gain, heart disease and cancer. Eating for your health can also help you control cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes.

 

Tobacco

  • Prevent the initiation of tobacco use among young people.
  • Promote quitting among young people and adults.
  • Eliminate nonsmokers’ exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS).
  • Identify and eliminate the disparities related to tobacco use and its effects among different population groups.
