Healthy Child Care ETC

Vision: Georgia’s public health assurance of a healthy, safe, and nurturing child care environment for our children.

Mission Statement: Empowering early care and educational professionals to provide a holistic, nurturing environment for happy, healthy children in a safe and secure setting.

Child care health consultants are certified health professionals. A solid health care background combined with child care health consultation training enables these professionals to assist child care providers to improve the health, safety and overall quality of programs through consultation, staff training and resource referral.  The ideal of employing a certified health consultant is relatively new. However, child care centers employing consultants have shown improvements in daily operations, their staff members, and the physical environment of the centers. These improvements can lead to proper compliance with performance standards and higher credential levels.
