read the product label and follow all manufactures specifications and procedures dispose of spilled material or unused product in the TRASH or SEWER (use or dispose per label directions)  maintain good housekeeping practices  store liquids materials above solid materials  store chemicals in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place  smoke where pool chemicals are stored or used use up all product before disposal of container put spilled materials back in the original container  keep spilled materials isolated, follow label directions for clean-up and disposal  use dry chemical fire extinguishers (use water only!)  keep chemical product containers covered and protected from contamination  mix with any other chemicals, materials, or pool/spa products add each pool and spa chemical separately  dispose of chemical product container without washing & drying completely  keep pool chemicals inaccessible to children breath in the vapors from pool chemicals
